Ultra Fiber

Ultra Fiber is a unique brand of steel fiber produced by Daein.

  • The bonding strength with concrete is high due to a high aspect ratio.
  • The both hook-shaped ends of this product strengthen flexibility, impact resistance and bending strength of concrete, which increases the toughness and fatigue resistance of concrete to improve the anti-cracking effect.
  • As this product is made in a bundle, it is evenly dispersed without fiber-balling while mixing with concrete.

Applications of Steel Fiber

Division Steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) Steel fiber reinforced shotcrete (SFRS)
Features This is steel fiber-reinforced concrete mixed with steel fiber of 0.5~1.0mm in diameter and 30~60mm in length, which is more than 2 times, 2 to 3 times and 10 times as strong as regular concrete in tensile strength, bending strength and impact resistance. In Korea, steel fiber-reinforced shotcrete mixed with steel fiber of 0.5~0.6mm in diameter and 30~40mm in length is used for tunneling. Its physical properties are the same as SFRC

How to Use Wire diameter: 0.6~1.2mm, wire length: 50~60mm, water-cement ratio: 55% or less, the minumum size of fine aggregate:1/2 of steel fiber, fine aggreagte ratio: 50~70%, slump: 10~12, the amount of concrete: 420~500kg/㎥, stel fiber consumption: 20kg/㎥ or more. Wire diameter: 0.5~0.55m, wire length: 30~35mm, water-cement ratio: 50% or less, the maximum size of fine aggregate: 13mm, slump: 10~12, the amount of concrete: 420~500kg/㎥, steel fiber consumption: 40kg/㎥, the length of steel fiber: 70% or less of the nozzle size.
Input Order Coarse aggreagte → fine aggregate → sand → steel fiber (mix for 15~30 seconds) → cement and water (mixer line / batch plant line) Operate the mixer at the highest rpm → input/mix steel fiber → 2~3 minutes at the highest rpm of the mixer. (Concrete mixer)

SF Burnish Floor System

This new methood for salbs of steel fiber reinforced concrete(SFRC), which replaces reinforcing bars with steel fiber in the existing reinforced concrete(RC) slab structure, uses the finishing method where the laser system is used to improve the flatness of a slab and the surface strength of concrete is maximized without separate finishing materials(Burnish).

Features of Ultra Fiber Reinforced Slabs On Grade

  • Larger load-bearing ability due to uniform 3D reinforcement of slab
  • The thickness of slabs can be reduced compared with the existing reinforcement methods. (Reinforced rods or wire meshes)
  • The possibility of cracks is remarkably reduced

  • Labor costs and construction period can be reduced due to simplified construction processes.
  • Maintenance costs can be reduced
  • The flatness of slabs can be improved by the use of the laser system.
